No. Happikery gravies and sauces are fresh, in a paste form and completely ready-to-eat. Simply empty the contents of the pouch in a pan, adjusting the consistency with water and heat them. Then they can be used to create your favourite varieties of dishes. They are not dehydrated, freeze-dried or powder form like many other brands. So the taste, quality, consistency is as fresh as it can be.

The shelf life of these products is 18 months from the date of manufacturing.

Store in a cool and dry place at room temperature. Protect from direct sunlight. No need to refrigerate until the pouch is opened. Once opened consume immediately. Mix well before use. Oil separation is natural. Do not use if the pouch is leaking or bloated.

Happikery products achieve a shelf life due to the packaging technology. The products are manufactured in a state-of-the-art certified facility, with best practices. Once manufactured they are packaged using Retort Technology, Which is basically, sealing the contents in the special food grade 4 layer aluminium pouches and then subjecting the pouches to high temperature and pressure in a boiler called Retort, Something like a pressure cooker, Similar to how milk is packed in Tetrapacks. This technology was invented and used many years ago by the Indian Army for packing food products for our defence staff at remote locations, at high altitudes and over a long period of time.

1.Using Pan: Empty the contents in a pan and adjust the consistency with water. Heat and stir for a minute and they are ready-to-use. Make your choice of dish with the base gravy.
2. Using Microwave: You can also empty the contents in a microwavable container. Add water, stir and heat to achieve desired temperature.
3. Using Hot Water: Lastly the pouch can be kept in boiling hot water for about 4-5 minutes and the contents will be warm enough to use directly by mixing the desired ingredients of choice.
